Total Solar Eclipse 2017

Primary tabs

On August 21, 2017 we are going to get a very special treat from Mother Nature as a solar eclipse crosses the entire continental United States! The line of totality, where the view of the sun is completely covered by the moon, will
stretch from the Oregon coast, through the great plains, and out through South Carolina. Columbus will receive
about 90% of totality at 2:30 p.m. that day. Paul Sutter, an astrophysicist at The Ohio State University and Chief Scientist
at COSI, will talk about this amazing natural phenomenon, safe viewing practices, and what to expect.
